Scientificamerican.com has reviewed the documentary film, Transcendent Man and finds that while the movie reveal's the futurist Ray Kurzweil's emotional life, it does not challenge or support any of his ideas.

This film is about Kurweil's belief that within a few decades technology will allow human beings to transcend the physical and intellectual limitations of their biology. It paints Kurzweil as a brilliant man who has always risen above the skepticism of his doubters. Director, Barry Ptolemy read Kurzweil's book "The Singularity is Near" and was convinced that it was one of the most profound books he had ever read, and he had to make a movie on it.

Transcendent Man is cleverly edited and entertaining but has idealized Kurzweil a bit too much and does not indicate whether it is supportive or critical or Kurzweil's ideologies.

China has the largest population in the world. They have over one billion people.

As the internet grows in popularity throughout the world, it is in China where we will see the greatest growth in internet usage. In fact, according to the China Internet Network Information Center, there were 457 million people who use the internet in China by the end of 2010. The figures grew by 73 million from 2009. More than a third of the Chinese population have internet access, and the numbers keep growing. Therefore, there is a huge demand for Wireless broadband providers in the country.

The growth and popularity of technological innovations in the country have prompted the leading anti virus company of Russia, Kaspersky Lab, to invest 10 million U.S. dollars in the Chinese software market. The company plans to develop its Nanosemantics artificial intelligence (AI) project in China, and it is opening up an artificial intelligence R&D center in the coming months.

What is artificial intelligence? AI is the technology that people use in robots and machines in the form of preprogrammed code. AI usually consists only of logic and rarely of any data. Logic is the backbone of AI, just as logic is the backbone of our intelligence.

Some ways to test the efficiency of such intelligence is by the turing test. This test tests the response of their intelligence by making a human being talk to the machine. The more relevance between the answer of the machine and the human's question, the higher the mark. This means that the machine is "smarter" and more intelligent. This means that they are capable of doing logical processing that allows people to make more out of machines.

With a developing AI industry, we can soon expect fully automated industries to emerge.
